Pawan Kalyan Wants Rs 15 Cr For His Movies

Written By Indiagreat .in on Wednesday, 19 October 2016 | 08:57:00

Pawan Kalyan is now seeking Rs 15 Cr from the satellite rights for his next movie "Katamarayudu" that is under progress.
His last film "Sardaar Gabbar Singh" which was sold for high price of Rs 12.5 Cr was a disastrous for the TV as well. The Television channel that bought is not happy with it, as the film didn't fetch them much ratings.
Still, Pawan Kalyan is said to be quoting Rs 15 Cr for this current movie, which is also being produced by "Sardaar Gabbar Singh" producer Sharat Marar.
It is said that Pawan Kalyan gets share in satellite rights too as part of the remuneration for this film. So he wants a bigger pie.
The Telugu versions of "Baahubali" Part 1 and Part 2 were bought together by Maa TV for Rs 31 Cr. As a single film, each movie's worth is around Rs 15 Cr.
When the Telugu version of much-awaited "Baahubali 2" itself came in the hands of channel owners for Rs 15 to 16 Cr why would they pay Rs 15 Cr for Pawan Kalyan's film that doesn't have any additional value other than the presence of the star?
