YSRCP Demands Compensation for Crop Loss, Rehabilitation in Flood-hit Rural Areas

Amaravati: Several flood-hit villagers expressed their concern over total absence of development works in their areas, while requesting YS Jagan Mohan Reddy to take measures to ensure justice for them. YSRCP President YS Jagan Mohan interacted with the flood-affected villagers and assured them of total support of the party.

In spite of rain, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy on Tuesday evening visited Rajupalem mandal, Kondamodu, Anupalem, Reddygudem. YS Jagan said: “We’ll keep pressure on the Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu for extending the relief for the flood-hit, rehabilitation for the displaced and compensation for crop loss.”

YS Jagan visited agriculture fields right from till evening. He garlanded statue of YS Rajasekhara Reddy at Anji Reddy Hospital center. Huge crowds welcomed him along his tour. He reached Kondamodu at 11:45am. Sattenapalli YSRCP party activists and general public welcomed YS Jagan, who later visited Erravagu, which is in spate.

We’ll keep pressure on the Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu for extending the relief for the flood-hit, rehabilitation for the displaced and compensation for crop loss.

Farmers at Kota Nemalipuri briefed YS Jagan about their problems and conditions of crop after the heavy rains. YS Jagan reached Anupalem village in Rajupalem mandal at 1pm and visited flood-hit fields. Mastan Bi showed her rain-ravaged six acre field. YS Jagan consoled the farmers and said he would support them to get the compensation for crop loss.

Later YS Jagan toured SC Colony, where several houses were damaged due to rains. Sarpach Koti Nagi Reddy complained that despite funds to a tune of Rs 50 lakh being available, the panchayat is not taking up development works in the village.

“Ruling party leaders are creating hurdles for the development works,” the Sarpanch told YS Jagan. YS Jagan garlanded Ambedkar statue and spoke with people in SC Colony. YSRCP President continued his tour till evening meeting people at outskirts of Rajupalem, Adda Road, Bodhanam, etc.
