Read How India Carried out Surgical Strikes
At a time when the entire nation was boiling with the 'retaliation fever' ever since the Uri attack that resulted in the death of 18 army personnel, India on Thursday carried out surgical strikes in the terror sponsoring areas of Pakistan occupied Kashmir (PoK) to give a firm warning to the neighboring nation.

With this attack, India has announced that it no longer depends on only dialogues to resolve the issues with Pakistan on the disputed Line of Control (LoC). Indian DGMO Lt Gen Ranbir Singh said that Pakistan was informed about the strikes before the execution. "India has no intention of continuing the strikes but we are ready for any reaction from Pakistan," he added.

Read how the operation was carried out in a matter of 4 hours.

According to reports, the operation began at around 12.30 AM on Wednesday. Paratroopers from Special Forces were airdropped at the LoC, from where they walked 3kms across the LoC and crossed over to the Pakistani side to conduct the surgical strikes using choppers. As per reports, the strikes happened at 0.5-2 Km radius across LoC.

The mission reportedly ended at 4.30 AM. Seven terror launch pads were destroyed during the strikes, killing 38 terrorists and 2 Pak soldiers. No Indian casualties were reported. Those killed in the Indian Army surgical strikes included terrorists, their sponsors and handlers.

This is the first of its kind strike across the Pakistani border and it had to be performed in the wake of an increasing number of terrorists gathering along the LoC with the objective of infiltrating the border to conduct attacks in India.

Modi Govt. is receiving applause from every corner of the nation for the audacious decision
