Flipkart's Big Billion Days sale to start from October 2

Flipkart, India's largest e-commerce marketplace, has announced the third edition of "Big Billion Sale", to be held between 2nd  and 6th October, offering huge discounts and offers on a wide range of products including smartphones, electronics, smart televisions and home appliances.

This is the third edition of the sale. The sale this year includes offers like no cost EMI and  product exchange for the first time to attract more buyers.  Customers can also expect many new launches and exclusive brand partnerships, across categories with some of the best deals offered by the company this year.

"With a vision to create the best shopping experience and bring India together, we are now in our third edition of The Big Billion Days Sale. This year, our key focus is to ensure maximum value to our consumers by making quality products affordable and accessible, " said Kalyan Krishnamurthy, head, category design organisation. "Great offers and exclusive partnerships will give our customers more options to choose from, and our innovative consumer finance, delivery and installation for large electronics and product exchange programs will only add to the customer delight this festive season. With our well-oiled backend and supply chain systems, we are fully prepared to process a billion wishes well in time through this event of the year.

Flipkart every year launches the sale ahead of festivals. Last year it sold goods worth $300 million,  during the five days Big Billion Days sale from 13th - 17th October.  According to a blog CashFat, the company will spend nearly Rs 30 crore on advertising and marketing for this sale. The Big Billion Days sale will be competing against Amazon's Great Festival Sale, starting on the same date.
